Urban legends are rife throughout the world, and provide a great basis to spin a tall tale on. But most of them contain a small grain of truth in amongst the overblown words, as the cast of JU-REI: THE UNCANNY discover. This particular legend involves a mysterious figure in a black hooded cloak who terrorizes a high school. The truth about the elusive figure has been exaggerated and distorted over a lengthy period of time, but when he finally becomes a reality, a group of girls at the school enter into a race against time to escape with their lives intact. Brutal, bloody, and creepy, this is a highly potent movie which follows in the great tradition of Japanese horror films.
